EPFL

The research at the Laboratory for Topology and Neuroscience, lead by Professor Kathryn Hess at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), ranges from pure algebraic topology to its applications in data analysis and neuroscience. The research topics include inverse problems in topology, topological signal processing, neural networks on higher structured data, discrete Morse theory, path signatures, sheaf theory, and multiparameter persistent homology. The group collaborates with scientists from different fields such as cancer biology, neuroscience, material science, and digital humanities.
